BPMI UMM can identify all challenges and obstacles in implementing the quality assurance system mandated in Permendikbudristek number 53 of 2023. UMM leadership from the rectorate to the head of the study program has a commitment and determination to continuously improve quality and BPMI is assigned to implement and oversee this policy.

The key to success in quality assurance is leadership commitment and participation from all parties. BPMI UMM's innovation that has been implemented for years is the Integrated Quality Assurance And Survey System (iQASS) application which is also a point of excellence. The good practice of the internal quality assurance system resulted in a good impact, namely UMM's accreditation was categorized as superior.  As of November 7 2024, 31 study programs were accredited as superior, 11 study programs were accredited A, 8 study programs were accredited very well, 10 study programs were accredited well, and 16 study programs were internationally accredited (AUN-QA, ASIIN, FIBAA, and IABEE).
