Thursday 14 December 2023, the Internal Quality Assurance Agency of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (Badan Penjaminan Mutu Internal/BPMI UMM) received benchmarking guests from Darussalam Gontor University (UNIDA).
This benchmarking was led by Dr. Syamsuri, S.H.I., M.A., Head of the External Quality Assurance Standards Section, Darussalam Gontor University. In his speech, he conveyed the purpose of benchmarking quality assurance systems with 2 participants: Daud Sukoco, S.H.I, M.E. (Head of Data Base and Quality Development Section, Darussalam Gontor University), Febrian Arif Wicaksono, S.H.I., M.H. (Head of Risk Management).
Dr. Syamsuri, S.H.I., M.A. conveyed that UNIDA had Superior status. Therefore, there are demands for quality assurance that must be enforced. The Chancellor of UNIDA has mandated it to become a quality and meaningful campus. The most important thing is that quality assurance needs to be the spearhead, which is entrusted to the Quality Assurance Agency.
Head of BPMI UMM, Prof. Dr. Ainur Rofieq, M.Kes said that UNIDA was the 27th PT to Benchmark the quality assurance system to BPMI UMM.
"UMM is also happy because UNIDA is one of the Islamic campuses with superior status.
We are ready to share information and guidance with UNIDA. In practice, so far BPMI guarantees all performance indicators at UMM through SPMI. Basically, managing SPMI simultaneously prepares accreditation needs. SPMI is the basis for implementing accreditation, based on Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 53 of 2023. In 2024 what is measured is the SPMI document. UMM is of the view that what is being photographed is SPMI's photographic accreditation. In the context of quality assurance, the rector is the client or orderer. Renop is the basis for preparing standards. "BPMI has four divisions," said the BAN-PT and LAMDIK assessor.
Prof. Dr. Ainur Rofieq, M.Kes also said that BPMI was assisted by 11 GPMI in the faculty. BPMI is assisted by 79 auditors who are competent to carry out AMI.
In the discussion session, auditor training was presented. It was also explained that BPMI has an SPMI SIM called i-QASS 2.1, making the monitoring and evaluation, AMI and RTM processes easier.
"SPMI UMM greetings from the i-QASS form are extraordinary. We never found it even on state campuses. We have studied a lot at superior campuses. Nothing is as complete and good as BPMI UMM has. We really hope that Prof Rofieq and the team will help BPM UNIDA a lot. "We will invite and continue to learn," hoped the UNIDA representative.
