Support International Accreditation, BPMI Consolidates with GPMI and UPPS

Achieving international accreditation, stated in the Strategic Plan of UMM as an achievement that will be realized by UMM in 2023-2026. Supporting this achievement, the Internal Quality Assurance Agency (BPMI) of UMM today (31/8) held a working meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Group (GPMI) with the theme Optimizing the Implementation of SPMI at the UPPS and Study Program Levels. by GPMI Managers from all Study Program Management Units (UPPS) and the Deans at UMM.

In his speech, Vice Chancellor 1 of UMM, Prof. Dr. Syamsul Arifin, M.Si, stated that UMM had set milestones in each certain year range. After focusing on national competitiveness in 2019-2022, starting from 2023-2026 UMM will reach the milestone of international accreditation strategic plan. The UMM Professor emphasized “The achievements in the previous years are a good stepping stone for UMM towards the next strategic milestone, namely international accreditation. So BPMI as an important part in quality assurance must carry out practical roles so that all quality assurance activities can meet international standards,” Syamsul further reminded that the implementation of the PPEPP cycle in quality assurance management must be further strengthened.

Head of BPMI, Dr. Ainur Rofieq, M.Kes, welcomed the expectations of the Vice Chancellor I of UMM. As part of its support for achieving the milestones of the UMM strategic plan, BPMI plans to prepare and fulfill the needs of standards that are in accordance with accreditation quality standards, availability of documents, facilities, and various other things. “We at BPMI have provided a management information system related to quality assurance that is quite good. Today, we socialize the operation of the SIM and we train it to all GPMI managers, "explained Rofieq.


As Secretary of BPMI, Dr. Tri Sulistyaningsih, M.Sc. revealed that the working meeting and consolidation of GPMI are expected to optimize the main tasks of GPMI as an extension of university quality assurance. The results of the consolidation of GPMI at the UPPS level, are expected to make GPMI more proactive to synergize with faculties in guarding the quality of UPPS and Study Programs, especially in the implementation of self-assessment in each semester. Tri also emphasized that, at the UPPS and Study Program levels, GPMI must also actively facilitate and assist the monitoring and evaluation of the tridharma. As a form of responsibility in carrying out tasks, GPMI's performance is stated in the form of reports that must be submitted periodically to BPMI.


In the GPMI Working Meeting, the secretary of BPH, Drs. In his speech, Wakidi gave reinforcement to achieve the quality of UMM's Vision, Mission, Goals (VMTS).
